Once you take a mattress spring apart, creative opportunities become unlimited. I explored each new form completely. As per usual, each time I began creating a new piece I envisioned two or three others. I made notes and/or sketches of each idea as they showed themselves and continued to make the intended piece then moved on to the next envisioned idea. Below is the extent I’ve reimagined to date. There are always ideas ‘left on the table’ and one day I will work back toward them.
