The visual potential for abstract art I see in the shadows of my bed spring sculptures especially when they are painted with purer hues on saturated colored walls led me to begin creating oil and acrylic paintings. I’ve been experimenting with various base materials beyond stretched canvas such as wood and woods of varying surfaces (plywood, press board, MFD, etc…), glass and metal. I’ve also used wood panels as permanent, colored backs for some of the pieces below.

I hope you can see the visual games I play out in my paintings when you go back and look at the actual images. The variations are limitless and I feel I could produce 10 paintings of the same image and still see more variations, still feel like I have not exhausted my imagination.
